Dog Walkers Salisbury

I offer a bespoke Salisbury dog walking service for my clients: I don’t walk in large groups. My walks are in small groups of no more than 4, so as and when they all need to be on lead, I remain in control. All groups are carefully selected to ensure every dog, including myself have a rewarding and fun walk.

Cat Sitting Salisbury

Cat Sitting Salisbury

My Salisbury cat sitting service provides peace of mind for you that your cat or cats are in the comfort of your own home while you are away. Not all cats do well in a cattery. I can follow their usual feeding routine and provide video and photo updates so you know your cats and home are safe.

I’m also able to offer pop-in visits to look after other pets besides cats. Living on a rural farm I have experience of a wide range of animals. I’m able to look after chickens, goats and more while you are away. I can also offer a boarding service at my home for small mammals like rabbits and guinea pigs.

Why Choose Me For Dog Walking In Salisbury?

There are many reasons why people choose me when looking for pet services in Salisbury. The following are just some of those reasons.

Small Group Sizes

My group walks are limited to a maximum of 4 dogs even though my insurance allows more. Dogs are matched based on personality to ensure the whole group gets the attention they deserve.

Professional Vehicle

I use an air conditioned dog walking vehicle that’s fitted out with professional Lintran cages complete with escape hatches and fans that can be operated independently from the engine battery.

Private Walks

Living on a family farm within 3 miles of Salisbury I have access to over 800 acres of private land. This provices me with safe and varied dog walking options from woods to open pastures and tracks.

Experienced

I’ve personally been offering pet services within Salisbury since 2012. My years of experience and many glowing reviews are just some of the reasons why pet owners choose me.

Qualified

I’ve completed my Pet Home Sitting and Dog Walking qualification, accredited by the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training. I have also trained as a dog groomer with Cottage Canine Grooming in Winchcombe.

Fully Insured

I’m fully insured for all the services I provide by Pet Business Insurance. For clients’ peace of mind I have also been police security checked (DBS). Both my husband and I are also pet first aid trained.

Home & Pet Safety

I do not drive a sign written vehicle advertising my business. Sign written vehicles parked outside a customer’s house can be a security risk. I also do not post images of the dogs I walk on Facebook.

GDPR Compliant

I comply with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) guidelines. I do not share or sell any personal data. We only collect data that is needed to provide our services. I am also registered with the ICO (Information Commissioners Office).

Free Meet & Greet

For all customers I offer a free meet and greet before any services start. This allows me to meet you and your pets and show you my insurance and other documentation.

I would recommend Amanda to anyone! She’s so good with Max, our cat. He’s usually very shy, it was an instant hit.
When we’re going away, I know Max will be well looked after, and Amanda will keeps an eye on the house. Great peace of mind!

We feel so lucky to have found Amanda! She is absolutely wonderful with our dog, who clearly loves his outings with her. Amanda has also checked in and looked after our cats whilst we have been away and it was great to know that they were being so well cared for. Always understanding when there have been changes to our weekly schedule, we really couldn’t manage without her.

Dog Walking
My retriever Lucy came back a new dog! Her coat has been transformed from being a grey shabby coat to a shiny smooth coat.
Lucy suffers from a rather flaky skin due to her medical condition and I was a little worried that it may have aggravated her skin. But to my relief it has transformed her coat and everyone has been telling me how good she looks.
I’ve had quite a few lovely comments including a couple of people thinking her younger than her 8yrs.

Amanda has walked our dogs for over 10 years now. We couldn’t have asked for a more reliable, hard working, dependable and dedicated dog walker. Amanda is excellent at communicating with us, keeping us updated about walk times and sending photos / videos of our dog out on her walks if we ask her to. I would highly recommend her services.

At then time of the meet and greet clients are asked to sign for permission to let their dogs of the lead. This will only be done once a bond is formed and then dogs will be on a trailing/safety line to check recall. Dogs are only let off the lead on the farm or in one of our secure fields.

We do not discriminate against breed, size or age. However, for liability purposes we do reserve the right to decline service to any pets that have a history of being dangerous to people or other animals.

I will always evaluate whether is safe to walk your dog daily with regards to the weather. When it’s too hot or too cold to walk dogs, I will do garden and home visits throughout the day while you are at work.

Yes I don’t employ other dog walkers. I feel it’s important that a dog is familiar with the person who walks them as well as the other dogs on the walk. I always give clients plenty of notice of any holidays I have booked.
